At High Plains Helping Hands, we serve a large area from Colorado Springs to the north and east, where there are few agencies to assist with such needs.  Food and other resources, as well as prayer and encouragement, are offered to those in need who live in the following zip code areas:  80808, 80828, 80830, 80831, 80832, 80833, 80835, and 80864

Below are ways we minister to our clientele-

1.  Food
Within our own community, there are many families in need, whether due to a family crisis, illness, or lack of work.  Our pantry is able to help by providing food to these families during such times.  Many of the families have nowhere else to turn for help!

2. Prayer
As each client comes in, we ask if they would like prayer.  It has been our honor to pray with the majority of people and to witness how God answers those prayers.

3. School Supplies
Prior to each school year, school supplies are given to families who need them for their children. At the start of the school year, children are able to head to school with the necessary items.

4. Special Needs
Often families ask for aid in filling special needs, such as furniture,
appliances, baby items, and firewood.  As people have items to donate, we seek to match the donor with the person or family that needs it.

5. Thanksgiving Baskets
Families in our community are given everything needed for a complete Thanksgiving dinner so that they may enjoy a special time with their families.

6. Christmas Toys and Meals
Parents are able to come to our Christmas toy “store” and pick out appropriate toys for their children.   Christmas meals are also provided for the families.

7. Winter Warmth
Coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets are provided to many families to help keep them warm through the winter season.
